Lions roar past Southeast in Day 1 of the City Tournament, 69-37

The No. 1 Lanphier Lions made their presence known with 22-8 run in the first quarter. They never looked back as they sit at 1-0 heading into Day 2 of the City Tournament with their 69-37 win over Southeast.

Four players scored in double-digits for Lanphier: Michael Ousley led with 12, Mekhi Phillips and Jaden Snodgrass put up 11 each and TJ Price scored 10.

Southeast was led by James Dent with a game-high 17 points.

Lanphier will play the No. 3 seed in Springfield at 8:00 p.m. on Day 2. Southeast will play the No. 2 seed in Sacred Heart-Griffin at 6:00 p.m. on Day 2.
