A group of Auburn High students is taking their leadership role to new heights, by making sure negativity stays far from their campus.
Auburn High School’s student council got together to pick a project for the school year.
What they decided was to spread positive messages around campus, in places you'd least expect, like the school bathroom.
"A lot of students need pick me ups throughout the day and things to look forward to in the school so we try to make things exciting and give them something to look forward to." Cassidy Filipiak, the vice president with the student council..
The theme is be the good.
Just three little words, with one big challenge.
"This summer me and Jenna Cline organized a be the good display case so it says be the good and it has a bunch of positive adjectives about how you can be the good,” explained Filipiak.
That project, is just one of many the student government has in the works.
"We do suicide awareness week and then we're going to be doing a veterans day assembly soon,” said Grace Hunley.
Each project is teaching students skills they can take with them after high school.
