Garry Marshall dead at 81, TMZ reports

BALTIMORE (WBFF) - Actor, producer, director and writer Garry Marshall has died, TMZ reports.

Marshall, 81, was well known for producing TV shows including "Happy Days," "Mork & Mindy" and "Laverne and Shirley." He also appeared as an actor in "The Odd Couple," "Hot in Cleveland," "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," "Murphy Brown" and "The Dick Van Dyke Show," to name just a few. Among his directing credits: "Pretty Woman," "Runaway Bride" and "The Princess Diaries."

According to TMZ, Marshall died at 5 p.m. on Tuesday of complications from pneumonia and had been in and out of the hospital, following a stroke.
