Recital Series : LLCC Choir Concert (12:00pm, Lincoln Commons, LLCC, SPRINGFIELD) All LLCC Recital Series performances are free and open to the public.

UIS 40th Annual International Festival (5:00 - 8:00pm; UIS-TRAC, 2171 University Drive, SPRINGFIELD) FREE;
The longest running student-led program in the history of the University, the festival features fun and games from around the globe, cultural performances and exhibits, plus a variety of ethnic foods. This year’s festival centers on the theme “Anniversaries.”

Weaving a Holiday Gift. (
Jubilee Farm, 6760 Old Jacksonville Rd, NEW BERLIN) Weave a shawl, scarf, or rug for someone special. Participants will have Sister Anita Cleary’s expert assistance to prepare looms and guide their work in this unique weekend experience. No experience necessary. Registration fee of $125 includes all materials and instruction. Non-refundable deposit of $40 required at time of registration. Knockerball MAX

A six week league will kick off on October 3, 2017 and run through November 14, 2017 (October 31, 2017 will be a bye week for all teams). Memorial’s Festival of Trees Gala (7:00pm; Orr Building, Illinois State Fairgrounds, SPRINGFIELD)
Be the first to view the new collection of beautifully decorated trees, wreaths and displays during the Festival of Trees Gala. This black-tie fundraiser, featuring music and a silent auction, is held the weekend before the Festival opens to the public.
Tickets are $100 and include hors d'oeuvres, wine, beer, soft drinks and dessert. A cash bar is available.
Sponsors should arrive at 5 p.m. to make their selections. The event opens at 7 p.m. to designers and the general public.

Memorial’s 28th annual Festival of Trees (Orr Building, Illinois State Fairgrounds, SPRINGFIELD)
A nine-day holiday event featuring more than 200 artistically decorated trees and wreaths; silent auctions for one-of-a-kind centerpieces and imaginative hand-crafted Gingerbread Village structures; the Candy Cane Express Train; the Little Elves' Workshop craft area; Snapshots with Santa; a boutique full of unique gift items; hand-decorated gingerbread cookies; and entertainment featuring dozens of musical performances. The annual event raises money for health-related projects and programs at Memorial Health System and in the Springfield community. On Employee Appreciation Day, Sunday, Nov. 19, all Memorial Health System employees who bring their badge receive free admission to the Festival of Trees. Memorial Medical Center's Employee of the Year presentation takes place at 2 p.m. on the Entertainment Stage.
On Senior Day, Tuesday, Nov. 21, admission is $3 for adults 65 years old and older.
