5th Annual Gifts of the SEason (6:00pm; The PIllars Event Center, 301 E. Market, TAYLORVILLE)
Hosted by Taylorville Memorial Hospital Foundation, the evening will open with a cash bar. Official welcome at 7:00pm. Guests will relax in fellowship, enjoy a plated dinner and delight in music by "Lowder and Manning", an acoustic duo performing warm intertwining guitars and vocals. 2017 Christmas Show: "A Touch of Glass" (Friday 1:00pm - 9:00pm, Saturday 9:00am - 8:00pm, Sunday 11:00am - 3:00pm; Macoupin County Historical Society, 920 Breckenridge St., CARLINVILLE)
On National Registry of Historic Sites. House Tours in the beautifully decorated museum. $3 Adults | $1 Children. Don't miss the 6th Annual Handmade Christmas Store.
Historical Society members hope that you stop in at the Mansion for our Christmas Tour. Come walk through our "A Touch of Glass" room displays. The Ruyle Building will again have numerous hand-crafted items and handmade baked goods for same made by members of the Macoupin County Historical Society that will make your Holidays a joy this year. There will be food served daily in the Red Barn featuring homemade pies, beef stew, cranberry salad, and hot wassail. As always, there is a small admission charge for the Mansion that helps us keep our lights on. The Christmas Store has no admission. For more information, call 217-854-2850

Franciscan Nativity Festival (Chiara Center, 4875 LaVerna Road, SPRINGFIELD)
Chiara Center will host the Franciscan Nativity Festival on Friday, December 1 from 2-7 p.m.; and Saturday, December 2 and Sunday, December 3 from noon - 4 p.m. Free and open to the public, the Festival features more than 100 Nativity Sets, many of which are new entries to the annual Festival. www.chiaracenter.org and 217.523.0901.

Santa will be here, at the Pawnee Learning Center in the flesh for you and your child to talk to, sit on his lap and even share a cookie.
